Our presious Solon car.

We have just finished loading the only running Solon car in Sweden. There is one more in Sweden but it is exibitioned in the technical musseum in Stockholm.

The Solon car company was founded by Hansi Kobes, car enthusiast, inventor and artist.

The company had its glory days during the -90s and was later sold to german millionere.

The car is one of the most efficient hybrid cars ever developed.

The car is hybrid (diesel, electric) and has a range of 60 km on electric drive and around 2000 km on diesel.

This specific car that we have bought is a testcar with around 160 kW!!!! electric power and a 2 cylinder VW disel engine with a porche gearbox. Weight of the car is around 1200 kg.

The doors are swing mounted like on lamborghini and the door mechanism was developed by the Solon company and the patent was later transfered to the Königsegg sports car company. Many of the workers at the bodyshop at the Solon car company transfered to Königsegg when the Solon company was sold.
